Here's the way I make it...
Into a jug put:
50ml (or a good splosh) of amaretto liqueur
A dash of sugar syrup ( you can get this from the supermarket)
The juice of a lemon (I use lemon juice from a bottle)
A few drops of Angostura bitters (optional)
Mix well together and pour into a glass full of ice. Loads of ice. Did I mention the ice?
You then really need to add a cherry or two for pure cocktail geekiness.
I think it's delicious and I know it's only Tuesday but what the hell! The Husband can't complain anyway. He's sat here drinking a piƱa colada!
